Koshertopia has confirmed that Two Cousins Burgers located at 265 West 231 Street has opened. The new restaurant is supervised under the Vaad of Riverdale and offers a variety of burgers, subs, salads and other delicacies. Their shnitzel in a laffa is excellent!
The Riverdale kosher scene is about to expand with the opening of the The Corner Grill. A branch of the Corner Cafe, the Corner Grill is located at 3718 Riverdale Ave. Supervised by the Vaad of Riverdale, will be offer authentic Israeli food including fresh laffa baked daily.
Just in time for summer, Riverdale gets a new ice-cream & gelato store. Koshertopia has confirmed that The Candy Box & Gelato Shoppe has opened at 5684 Riverdale Avenue under the Supervision of the Vaad of Riverdale. The new store offers an array of candies, dried fruit, gift baskets and over 20 flavors of gelato and frozen yogurt.
We had the opportunity to stop by over the holiday weekend for some sweet treats and we strongly recommend the home made Belgian waffles with some gelato!

Last week we reported that Carlos & Gabby’s in Riverdale would be opening soon. Turns out it was sooner than they thought! They are now officially open for business providing Riverdale with a healthy serving of Mexican cuisine.
The popular Mexican chain Carlos & Gabby’s has is opening its newest location in Riverdale. The space at 5685 Riverdale Avenue (formally Dumplings) is currently being renovated and is scheduled to open in the coming few weeks. The restaurant will offer sit down dining, take-out and catering. Riverdale residents are rejoicing with this latest addition to their kosher dining options.
