Green Olive in the Works

And yet another new restaurant is in the works for midtown…Koshertopia has been informed that Green Olive is set to open soon on 45th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue under the supervision of the OK (Organized Kashrut Laboratories). Green Olive will offer healthy Mediterranean food ranging from falafel, hummus, fresh salads and a host of other popular Mediterranean options.

Yummy Yummy

Koshertopia has confirmed that a new Shomer Shabbat, Cholov Yisrael Veggie Bar ‘Yummy Yummy’ is set to open in the coming few weeks on Lexington Ave. (between 55th and 56th Streets). The new restauarnt will offer a Falafal bar, free salad bar, coffee bar, hummus, bourekas, soups amongst other lunch options.

My Most Favorite Opens

My Most Favorite food has officially opened it’s new location at 247 West 72nd Street. The original location on 45th St. closed it doors permanently after over a decade of business. Many Broadway show goers will miss their pre/post dinners and the 45th Street location.





Shalom Bombay Coming Soon Enough

The final stages of the renovation are under way at the new Manhattan location at 344 Lexington Ave. Grand Opening scheduled for early May.





Prime Grill to Add UWS Location

Koshertopia has learned that the one and only Prime Grill, a leader in quality Kosher dining, is planning another Manhattan eatery on the Upper West Side.

The new location will offer an international bistro style menu – stay tuned for further details.





Mendy’s Open for Business at Rockefeller

One door closes and another opens. In a previous QuickBite we reported that Mendy’s will be opening a new location at Rockefeller Center. The new location opened for business yesterday.

You should get over there quick as they are having some grand opening specials, but we don’t know how long that will last..

They are located at 37 West 48th Street, Between 5th and 6th Avenue and are under the kosher supervision of the OU.





Hummus Place Multiplying on the UWS

Hummus Place is getting ready to open their fifth location in Manhattan and their second location on the UWS. They will be opening the new Hummus Place at 2608 Broadway between 98th and 99th Street in what was once La Creperie.

This location should be open sometime in August. More details to follow…





Summer is here – time to SCREME

Screme Gelato (known in Israel as Aldo) has arrived to New York and is under the Supervision of Rabbi Aaron D. Mehlman. According to their website “just one taste of Screme and you’ll be an addict”.Screme’s Gelato is both healthy and natural. All Screme products are made without any oil, preservatives, or food coloring.

Screme currently has 1 location open:
234 w 42nd St (In The Madame Tussauds museum)

With another location opening tonight:
2030 Broadway – Opening TONIGHT – July 20th

AND one more in middle of being constructed
300 E 64th St – Opening September 15th

With 54 branches worldwide they finally made it to the Big Apple.
