Screme Gelato @ Verdi SquareIt certainly has been a busy summer with a record breaking number of kosher ice cream and gelato bars opening in the tri-state area. Koshertopia has confirmed that the popular Manhattan chain, Screme, is opening a new location in Verdi Square by the subway station at Broadway and 73rd St. Opening  night this Wednesday includes free give-aways and discounts.

Soft Serve Fruit Co.Koshertopia has confirmed that yet another kosher ice-cream store has opened. Both locations of the Soft Serve Fruit Co. located at 1371 Third Ave. (at 78th st.) and 25 East 17th Street (Broadway) are supervised under the National Kosher Supervision (Rabbi Aaron D. Mehlman).

The ice-cream consists of only 3 ingredients: real fruit, filtered water and a touch of cane sugar. All products are made daily in-house including the 24 choices of toppings.

Holey Cream No Longer Under Supervision

Koshertopia has confirmed that Holey Cream has decided not to renew it’s Kosher Supervision at this current time.

Koshertopia has confirmed that PopBar has opened under the Supervision of National Kosher Supervision (Rabbi Aaron D. Mehlman). Located at 5 Carmine St. (@ 6th Ave.), Popbars are made fresh daily on premises with natural ingredients and no additives. Popbars come in three varieties: Gelato, Sorbet and Yogurt, each of them easy to personalize by mixing and matching flavors, dips and toppings, allowing customers to create their very own. Ingredients are 100% gluten and preservative free.
