Kosher options are expanding for those who work and live in the Financial District. Koshertopia has learned that a new restaurant will open around Labor Day at 17 Trinity Place (at the old location of Essex on Coney). The new restaurant, Good Fellas will be supervised by the OU.

Kosher Conveyor belt Sushi? You better believe it – Koshertopia has confirmed that Sushein is scheduled to open at 325 Broadway in lower Manhattan. With a liquor license already approved, this new kosher restaurant will certainly stand out amongst the others.

Fresh and environment conscious is the motto of Crisp – the popular falafel chain that is now kosher. Offering a combo of centuries-old Mediterannean food favorites with today’s nutrition-packed add-ins. Koshertopia has confirmed that the following locations of Crisp, 110 West 40th St. (between 6th & Broadway), 684 3rd Avenue (caorner of 43rd), as well as Crip on Wheels are supervised under the Cup K (Rabbi Israel Mayer Steinberg).

Koshertopia has confirmed that the popular downtown lunch spot Broadway Cafe has temporarily closed. Management informed our staff they are aiming to re-open this within the next few days. (May be open for business today)

It’s nearly ready, construction at 40 Wall Street is in full gear and Milk Street Cafe management is expecting a May 2011 grand opening. Kosher supervision for the new location is currently being finalized and will be announced shortly.

Koshertopia has confirmed that Boston’s well known Milk Street Cafe is coming to Manhattan. The 29 year old cafe known for their homemade delicacies and corporate catering has secured an 8,000 square foot cafe space and 13,000 square foot commissary at 40 Wall Street diagonally across from the New York Stock Exchange (Between Broad and William Streets). This new addition to the Downtown business district will no doubt be warmly welcomed by kosher consumers.
