Mike’s Pizzeria & Cafe Closed

Mike's MidtownMikes newest location at 35 West 36th Street has been a ghost town since the summer time. While the sign in the window states they are closed for the summer, it’s obvious to all the store is not re-opening. This the first location in the Mikes chain to close its doors.





It’s All Over for Lunchbox

It’s all over for the Lunchbox. Koshertopia has confirmed that the original NY Lunchbox at 255 West 36th Street has permanently closed its doors. May be best for those Midtown West consumers to bring their own lunchbox.





Kolette’s Kitchen Closes

Having just opened last August, Koshertopia has confirmed that Kolette’s Kitchen located at 672 Lexington Avenue (between 55th and 56th Street) has permanently closed. In a week in which NYC lost one of its most beloved long time restaurants, let’s hope this is the last one.





Galil on UES Closed

Koshertopia has confirmed with Management that Galil Restaurant on the UES has permanently closed it doors. The proprietor is looking to re-open in a new location.

Shalom Bombay Closes Temporarily (New York Location)

Koshertopia has confirmed the popular Indian restaurant, Shalom Bombay in NYC has temporarily closed.  Management has informed our staff the closure is expected to be very brief.

Yogi’s Kitchen Closes

Koshertopia has confirmed that Yogi’s Kitchen at 182 Lexington Ave has closed its doors.





Alibaba on UWS Closed Temporarily

Koshertopia has confirmed that the UWS late night favorite, Ali Baba has been closed by order of the Health Department. An open date has not yet been confirmed.

NY Lunchbox (East Side) Closed

Closed under the guise of ‘remodeling’, Koshertopia has confirmed that Lunchbox’s East Side location at 844 Second Avenue (at 45th St.) is currently closed. It remains to be seen if it will be temporary or permanent.

Gusto Va Mare Closed

Koshertopia has confirmed that the midtown dairy restaurant, Gusto Va Mare located at 237 East 53rd Street (between 2nd Avenue & 3rd Avenue) has closed its doors. The restaurant, closed for over 3 weeks has not shared publicly whether the closure is permanent or temporary (the interior remains untouched).

Diamond Dairy Closes After Almost 60 Years!

Koshertopia has cofirmed that The Diamond Dairy, a kosher hotspot in the Diamond District ( in the back mezzanine of the jewelry exchange on 4 W. 47th Street) has closed its doors for good.  For close to 60 years, the diner, a hidden gem in the Diamond Distrcit, had been serving up Ashkenazic style Jewish food to the many emloyees in the area as well as many tourists and passersby.
