The Cellar @ Darna Closed?!

It was back in early May that we announced the opening of Manhattan’s first kosher wine & beer bar, The Cellar, located inside Darna Restaurant at 600 Columbus Avenue. Koshertopia has confirmed that The Cellar is no longer open. While it was only short lived, The Cellar was a popular destination. Rest assured wine & beer connoisseurs that it won’t be long until a similar concept opens in Manhattan.





David’s Closing Current Location

Following our June 1st report of David’s (formerly Avi & David’s) temporarily closing, Koshertopia has confirmed that the popular dairy eatery will not re-open at its old location of 1046 Third Avenue. Koshertopia has learned that David’s is working on re-opening at an alternate location. Stay Tuned for more details.

Kosehertopia has confirmed that Pongal located at 110 Lexington Avenue has switched supervisions and is now under the supervision of the Cup K (Rabbi Israel Meir Steinberg).





Terri Now Under Supervision

Koshertopia has confirmed that Terri at 64 W. 23rd St. is now under the Supervision of the IKC (International Kosher Council). Terri is 100% Organic and Vegan (Pareve) and offers a wide range of healthy sandwiches, wraps, fresh smoothies and juices.





PopBar Kosher in Time For Summer

Koshertopia has confirmed that PopBar has opened under the Supervision of National Kosher Supervision (Rabbi Aaron D. Mehlman). Located at 5 Carmine St. (@ 6th Ave.), Popbars are made fresh daily on premises with natural ingredients and no additives. Popbars come in three varieties: Gelato, Sorbet and Yogurt, each of them easy to personalize by mixing and matching flavors, dips and toppings, allowing customers to create their very own. Ingredients are 100% gluten and preservative free.
