What Koshertopia has to say:
When you hear Darna, you think of home. Darna welcomes you into their house and treats you like a member of the family. Moroccan food is very unique in its flavor, heat and spice, but Darna makes you feel like it is something you eat everyday (and long for!). The atmosphere is intimate and perfect for a romantic outing. Every casual meal becomes quite elegant at Darna. (Insider's Tip: The Tomato-Mint Soup is unlike anything else in the City)

As we rarely dine out we were searching for a nice place in NYC that was
reasonably priced and had good food. We found it all at Darna. First of all the
atmosphere is wonderful. Though I have never been to Marrakech, I felt like I
was in a Moroccan shuk. It is probably a good idea to make a reservation. We had
not, but we were seated right away. However, our seat was near the door which
was quite a cold spot. The very attentive maitre'd, who noticed our chill, moved
us as soon as a table opened up on the other side of the restaurant. The spiced
carrots and toasted pita, which were put out with the menus, were our clue that
good things were to come. We thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ Short Ribs and Hummus
with Zaatar Pita appetizers. The Stuffed Cornish Hen main course was nice. The
best dish, however, was the Grilled Veal Chop. It was superb and the side
vegetable was amazing. The portions were very satisfying. The only
disappointment was the chocolate mousse pie. After seeing the prices at other
neighboring fleishig establishments, we were pleasantly surprised by how
reasonable everything was, in comparison. Enjoy, I know you will!! Oh, regarding
the past reviews commenting on the slow service: we didn't notice that at all
when we were there.

Darna accommodated us very nicely, especially as we were a group of 15 or so.
The atmosphere was quite elegant and you didn't feel like you were sitting on
top of the nearby tables. Food was really delicious (house ribs!) but service
was a little slow. Was also kind of pricey- I would give it three "apples".
