What Koshertopia has to say:
Looking for a chic venue where you can enjoy a perfectly cooked hamburger or foot-long hot dog, or perhaps something less traditional like duck empanadas and shish kebabs? Top it off with a glass of hard-to-find kosher wine? Clubhouse Cafe is your new solution. With a dually intimate and hip atmosphere, your after-work Kosher bar cravings will surely be satisfied. Although not as pricey as its pre-existing counterpart, Le Marais, the quality of food is certainly on par. Three things to note: (1) Clubhouse Cafe is not open on Fridays or Saturdays, making this venue quite the work-week hotspot; (2) Although vegetarians will find something to nosh on here, the choices are limited; (3) The chocolate salami dessert option is not actually made from meat: it is a sweet mixture of dark chocolate biscuits and other decadent delights!

The vibe at Clubhouse Cafe makes it a trendy spot to grab a bite before heading out to a bar or show in midtown. The music is loud and pulsing, the lights are a mixture of candlelight and colored accent lights. The food follows through on this note--the traditional hot-dog is turned into something new and different (it is extra long). Traditional hamburgers are served next to bison burgers and other more exotic selections. On my most recent visit, I was disappointed by how close the seating was between tables. Note: Koshertopia reports that Clubhouse Cafe is not open on Saturdays, but I was recently there on a Saturday night.
