What Koshertopia has to say:
This small middle eastern restaurant serves excellent schwarma with delicious salad. Authentic Israeli service complements the food nicely. Maybe you'll get lucky and Azuri will add his world famous split pea soup to your order.

The food was decent at best, but I didn't even get what I wanted in the cramped space of Azuri Cafe. We went in for lunch on a Friday afternoon and tried to place our order. The guy taking our order didn't write anything down and when I finished telling him exactly what I wanted - a schwarma on pita with schug, techina and hummus inside and no salad (admittedly, I'm very specific when it comes to getting exactly what I want) - he just said, "So you want schwarma" and ended up not giving me the order as I had requested. There also was very little meat in the pita. Getting a cup of water from them took several minutes and refills were not forthcoming. Just a very disappointing experience after Azuri was hyped by a friend. It's an out-of-the-way location that isn't worth the effort of visiting.

I have eaten there many time and each time I try different things I have never
been disappointed. My experience with every dish that it was succulent, and
satisfying to the heart and brain.

I love this place; a little hole in the wall off 10th ave. Everything is
amazing, but make sure you try his soups!
